Annual Report for WELS United

In 2018:

  • The Hope Center welcomed 86 family units (up from 67 in 2017)--a total of 106 adults and 152 children
  • Each month, we assisted an average of 102 individuals (32 families) by providing hygiene items and cleaning supplies
  • Continued partnership with the Fox Cities Diaper Bank to distribute diapers and feminine hygiene products
  • Offered spiritual counseling, information on baptism, and made efforts to share the gospel whenever possible
  • Nearly 800 volunteer hours
  •  Donations of $21K, including practical assistance items
  • Average monthly expenses of $800-900
  • Hosted a Thanksgiving event and provided Thanksgiving meal basket to 34 families
  • Coordinated four Christmas adopt-a-family opportunities supported by local congregations/members
  • Supported the Pillars Resource Center through coffee donations and provided a Christmas party lunch

For 2019, we pray that God continue to bless our efforts to provide help and hope to those in need in the Fox Valley by:

  • Expanding our office hours/availability
  • Providing a monthly “Soup for the Soul” lunch and Bible study opportunity for Pillars Resource Center
  • Hosting a back-to-school event in August
  • Continuing to explore of how to help the homeless individuals that are using the Pillars Resource Center
  • Updating our website, logo, and signage
  • Implementing a digital client tracking system
